The nine-year cycle

Personal years, months and days: numerology as timing rather than prophecy.

The most practical part of numerology has nothing to do with personality. It is a calendar. The tradition holds that experience moves in nine-year waves: year 1 plants, years 2 and 3 cultivate, year 4 builds, year 5 pivots, year 6 tends, year 7 turns inward, year 8 harvests, year 9 clears the field for the next wave.

Your Personal Year is computed from your birth day and month plus the current calendar year. It does not predict events; it names a season. The same job offer reads differently in a year 5 (take the leap) than in a year 7 (why are you running from the quiet?). Used this way, the cycle is a scheduling instrument: push in the building years, consolidate in the harvest, release in the ninth rather than clinging.

Finer grains

Personal Months and Personal Days apply the same arithmetic at smaller scales, useful for pacing a month or choosing between two similar weeks.
