Your Life Path Number is the total of your full date of birth, and it carries more weight than any other number in a chart. It describes the broad direction of your life: the lessons you keep meeting, the kind of opportunities that find you, and the terrain your story moves through. In the Vedic tradition it is called the Bhagyank, the destiny number.
Because it comes from your birth date, the Life Path can never change. Two people with the same Life Path share a road, not a life; the road is wide enough for wildly different journeys. Numeranks preserves master numbers 11, 22 and 33 instead of flattening them, and flags karmic debt totals when they appear in the calculation.
How it works
Month, day and year are each reduced to a single digit or master number, then summed and reduced again. Example: 25-09-1968 gives 9 + 7 + 6 = 22, a master Life Path.

How do I calculate my Life Path number?
Reduce your birth month, day and year each to a single digit or master number, add the three, then reduce once more. For 25-09-1968 that is 9 plus 7 plus 6, which gives the master 22. The calculator keeps master numbers rather than flattening them.
Can my Life Path number change?
No. It comes only from your date of birth, which never changes, so the Life Path is fixed for life. Numbers drawn from your name can shift; this one cannot.
What are master numbers in a Life Path?
When the calculation lands on 11, 22 or 33 it is held as a master number instead of being reduced to 2, 4 or 6. Numeranks preserves them and also shows the single-digit root.
Is the Life Path the same as the Vedic destiny number?
Yes. In the Vedic tradition the Life Path is called the Bhagyank or Conductor, the destiny number, and it is read as the broad direction of a life.
What if my totals include a karmic debt like 13, 14, 16 or 19?
Those totals are flagged when they appear at any step of the reduction. They do not change the final digit but add their own note to the reading.
