The Year of Responsibility

After the movement of the 5 year, the 6 year calls everything home. Family needs surface, relationships ask for definition, houses ask for repair, and communities ask for your presence. Duty is the current of the year, and it flows toward you from every direction at once.

This is classically the year of marriages, commitments, reconciliations and homes made or remade. Relationships that survived the 5 year’s turbulence tend to deepen now; those that were already finished tend to end cleanly, because the 6 year has no patience for undefined arrangements. Beauty matters more than usual too: the year favours making things, and lives, more harmonious to inhabit.

The work of the 6 year is learning where care ends and control begins. Service given freely feeds everyone including the giver. Service given to purchase gratitude, or to avoid one’s own life, breeds the special resentment that only 6 energy knows how to brew.
