The 7 Personal Year is the sabbatical written into the cycle. The outer world goes quiet, sometimes by choice and sometimes by circumstance: projects pause, crowds thin, and pushing for external results produces strangely little. The cycle is redirecting the budget inward, and resisting it is the main way a 7 year goes wrong.
This is the strongest year of the nine for study, research, craft refinement, spiritual practice and honest self-assessment. Questions that faster years never left room for, about what the work is for and whether the life fits, finally get a hearing. Many people meet their real convictions for the first time in a 7 year.
Solitude runs high, and relationships can feel the distance. The ones with substance survive a reflective season easily; explaining that the quiet is a season, not a verdict, is usually all they need.
