Twenty-two combines the vision of the 11 with the practical hands of the 4: the ability to see something at the highest level and bring it down into material form. It is called the Master Builder because its natural scale is institutions, movements and systems that outlive their maker.
The pressure is enormous, especially early, when others sense tremendous potential that has not yet materialised. The immature 22 either shrinks into a comfortable 4 or burns out reaching. The mature 22 translates the view from the mountain into work that stands at sea level, one buildable stage at a time.
